
Ken Shamrock's positive test at Bellator 149 came as a result of pituitary medication he was taking, claims the fighter.
Bellator 149 was a mess. Kimbo Slice tested positive for steroids. Dada 5000 nearly died. And Ken Shamrock tested positive for nandrolone along with methadone. That's not even mentioning the messed up finish to his fight with Royce Gracie. So it only stands to reason that things should get weirder, right?
Well, they just did.
In records obtained by MMA Junkie, Shamrock talked to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and stated that the positive test came about because of pituitary medication he was taking:
"Respondent stated he is certain the results are not from an illegal substance and believes the results stem from medications prescribed to him…
