Leaf got it right. The rule is a rule until it's not a rule lol. Minimum 4 month waiting period for unretiring athletes but UFC has discretion to waive this.@TalkingLeaf

It seems like over the last year they've been much more willing to put on spectacle fights for fun. I actually like it but it still bugs me a bit when they don't just promote it as such.in all the GSP interviews he keeps saying hes not sure if he wants to come back. Odd that they are setting up potential matches for him and why at LW?
Im not sure why GSP would even want to come back.It seems like over the last year they've been much more willing to put on spectacle fights for fun. I actually like it but it still bugs me a bit when they don't just promote it as such.
Not every fights has to be a battle for better rankings and lots that are supposed end up feeling pointless because MMA math isn't reliable and the rankings system is basically the opinion of a select few.
I'd like to see GSP either stay out or fight big names for money and entertainment. I'd rather see him fight somebody like Machida or Vitor at 185 and have no title implications over a potential 155 champ. If he beats Khabib what good does that do either of them besides slow Khabibs pace to a title fight or risk injury?
Best case for me being selfish be stys retired as well but of he fights I'm watching regardless who it is.Im not sure why GSP would even want to come back.
His injuries seemed to be bothering him in his last couple fights. He was gassing much earlier and his takedowns weren't explosive anymore. I think his best left retired in my opinion.
I agree with the spectacle fights. It would be nice to see some sumo wrestler vs some rookie fighter. i like the change up too.
