She is still a star, but her image has taken a gigantic hit since she lost. I don't even think it is the loss that did it, either. It is the way that she has reacted to the loss. She exposed herself as not being the ultimate strong woman that she portrayed. Had she handled the loss a little better publicly I don't think her star would have fallen quite as far.
She wont be acting in them, she will be producing them.

the producer title can mean a lot of things, in this case I have a feeling she wont actually be doing much, they are just using her name for publicity
Conor can be her co star since he doesnt have anything lined up. They can play ex athletes that couldnt handle a loss so they teach high school PE and mentor other emo kids that need their safe space.
