Interview: Gegard Mousasi still dealing with sponsorship issues, talks Mayweather vs Pacquiao, Rousey vs Cyborg - Bloody Elbow

BE: You've already had trouble with sponsors, so I'd like to hear your thoughts on the new Reebok deal. Do you think it could be better for you?

Gegard: I don't know. I will have to wait and see because nothing has been announced about the Reebok deal on what the numbers will be. I think they're still figuring it out with the rankings and the payment of the fighters.

On one hand I think it's good because you don't have to deal with finding sponsorships, but on the other hand it's all about how much they pay you. That's all. We have to wait and see.

So while UFC is still airing out the details on the Reebok sponsorship, in the mean time fighters cannot get other sponsors until the Reebok deal is complete?

Of course they will bro Dana said all the money is going to the fighters.
Of course you know i was being sarcastic lol. Dana does whats best for Zuffa and Dana not the fighters that is clear. Oh except Ronda he has probably given her a small percentage of Zuffa off the 4 percent he has left after he gave 1 percent to abu dhabi for no fucking reason lol

Pretty sure the Shiek bought his 11% from the Fertittas. He owns more than Dana by like 1%.

Frank Fertitta III (40.5%)
Lorenzo Fertitta (40.5%)
Flash Entertainment (10%)
Dana White (9%)
I'm sure most of us here know this already but for the lurkers and newer members-

If there is ever a disagreement between Frank/Lorenzo regarding a business decision, Frank and Lorenzo are to have a jiu jitsu match where the winner gets to have the business decision his way. To date they have never had to enforce this tiebreaker.(100% serious)

This is incredible. Make the deal, then figure out the deal. And why do the fighters not have a seat at this table for which they have so many interests?

IIRC the Sheik bought 10%, 9% from the Fertittas and 1% from Dana. Leaving the Fertittas with 81%, Dana 9% and the Sheik 10%.

edit: Priziest beat me to it.

If Dfw would have said NONE of the money was going to the fighters it would have been AMAZING for the fighters...you see what I did there..

it starts in june or july, but until that time, the fighters will continue to lose sponsors that help them get by.
Are there examples of this already happening? You're suggesting that fighters cannot get any benefits from the Reebok deal until summer, but prior to that fighters have had sponsors pulled b/c of the Reebok deal?
