Real hardcore fans don't wanna see a pointless rematch that does nothing for the 155 division or 145 division, the only people who want to Conor get that fight is the casuals or he's legion of "yes" fans.
UFC 200 is stacked and now has better more competitive main event.

Agree, but I see a .00000001% chance of that happening. The chance for that fight was after he beat Aldo, but he didn't show no interest in that fight after Frankie K.O'd Mendes. Personally I think he will fight at 155 permanently, but it's not totally impossible.
The way Conor approached that was foolish and wasn't well thought out. It all sounded very selfish, so naw I'm not siding with Conor.
I side with the reason that a man should honor he's contract, and Meisha, Cain, Cowboy, Patrick Cote and now Alex Chambers now side against Conor. Conor does not deserve preferential treatment. The Court of law doesn't work on pitty.

He made a very bad move/business decision and he will now feel that this decision was a bad one as he goes through this weight cut for his next fight at 145 which is a tough cut.....call me a zuffa shill or whatever but he will (whether he wants to admit this or not) be sorry he didn't just show up to the press conference and argue after that.....IMO
I agree that all of this is his doing, and that not all of his moves have been great business decisions.
I was pointing out that a common narrative on here before was that Conor got pulled on purpose because he was scared of Diaz. Now, it has shifted to him being pathetic for "begging" to fight Nate. There is a crowd of people who defend Conor at all costs (I get accused of being in that crowd all the time, even though I only really defend him against those that are saying that he is scared of Nate and that got get kicked off of 200 on purpose to avoid him), and there is also a crowd of people that always subscribe to the most negative possible narrative about him. The negative ones called him a pussy for not wanting to fight Nate, and they are now calling him a pussy for being adamant about fighting him.
if he fights at 145 he's ducking Nate and even Khabib, if he fights at 155 or 170 he's ducking Edgar, even though he smoked one of the few guys to beat Edgar, and in 13 seconds via brutal KO. it's silly

Its not pointless, it makes him the most $$$, Diaz always asked for the big fights, this is his biggest fight in terms of $$$. It's pointless fight in terms of moving up in the rankings. And i think Diaz want this fight more than any other fight.
This rematch is one of those rematchs that i want to see for sake of "what if..." Like Silva/weidman and Cain/werdum
i think a lot of people want to see it... haters want to see mcgregor lose again.. fans want to see him get revenge... fans of the sport want to see an exciting fight.. you can't say mcgregor vs diaz doesn't make for one of the more exciting match ups in the upcoming cards

Me atm not really. When you challenge the UFC in a foolish approach then lose very quickly, and you start begging at the UFC to put you back at UFC 200, it makes him look bad. Therefore the Conor vs Nate 2 lost a lot of my interest and I've seen plenty of people annoyed by the constant bickering that really is going nowhere and make Conors brand look bad.
My other view was the fight is taking place at 170 where it does nothing for either the LW or the FW division, I think Luke Thomas also shares this POV. I guess maybe to me it's like when they tried to make Khabib vs Ferguson a bunch of times and both fighters pull out. Some of the shine is lost because the fight isn't happening when it was supposed to.
I also believe Jones vs DC will be a better fight than most people think. If you watch the fight the first 3 rounds they were very close. There was no domination, as many people think there was. DC IMO was implementing the gameplan he needed to do on Jones and used it on GUS which was apply pressure , throw volume, rely on wrestling less, and don't rely on the clinch. If you watch that fight again DC actually lands good shots at Jon and he will need outland Jon in volume(something that won't be an easy task but could be doable). I'm way more excited for the Jon vs DC 2 fight to be honest. Also a fight that was more competitive for a longer period of time.
In my selfish opinion I would like to see Conor vs Nate at 155(and would still slightly favor Conor to get the Dec). Or Conor vs Edgar(who I think Will be a stiffer challenge than Aldo. I don't think Conor is a pussy but he does choose what are more favorable match ups, and after what Frankie did to Chad It's somewhat understandable but makes him look bad to go against he's word.

and yes conor vs nate would be way better at 155, idk why they would ever have the rematch at 170 except for the fact that conor said something about keeping all variables the same in his quest for vengeance, otherwise if he wins it isn't true revenge... or something like that. also, i see aldo and edgar posing problems for mcgregor, but i see aldo posing more. idk why but i just do.. i know edgar is always proving people wrong when hes an underdog or perceived as an underdog, but i could really see jose's leg kicks hurting mcgregor badly. p.s. i love edgar
