It may seem like a bout between Phil Davis and Muhammed "King Mo" Lawalhas been in the making since last September, when Davis won a one-night tournament in his Bellator MMA debut. But in some ways, it's a matchup that has been brewing for over a decade.

The history between the two dates back to when Davis, 31, was in high school and spent time training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Davis, a veteran of 13 UFC fights, spent time wrestling with Lawal, as well as UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

Bellator 154 (Spike TV/ESPN Deportes, 8 p.m. ET) in San Jose, California. The light heavyweight main event headlines a card from SAP Center, where the two nearly met on Sept. 19 in the final of Bellator's four-man Light Heavyweight Grand Prix.

I really don't like Phil Davis (snubbed me at a Fan Expo and I hold a grudge). Hope Mo crushes him.

Not really, but I think either of them beats McGeary.
Mcgearys Sub game is dope..and his length vs Mo on the feet would have Mo in trouble imho..I think Phil is a harder fight for the champion..BUT I think Mo beats Phil lol...Krazy fighter math in my head I guess..

Honestly?????
What has Phil Davis done to make you think he's a lock to win? His greatest asset is his wrestling. His best chance to win this would be to out wrestle Mo, and I tend to believe they'll stalemate. So then it becomes whose the better striker. I'm going with Mo.
