Paige VanZant takes role in new Kickboxer movie

The UFC fighter and current Dancing With The Stars finalist will join the case of the newest Kickboxer movie.

Paige VanZant will be making the move to the silver screen soon. The UFC women's strawweight is currently starring on Dancing With The Stars, where she has made the finals, but has also signed on to make her acting debut in the latest Kickboxer movie. According to Deadline, the part was actually written for her personally after producers saw her work on DWTS:

"Paige is the up-and-coming darling of the UFC and her star quality shines through on camera," producer Rob Hickman of Our House Films said in a statement. "She’s a tremendous asset to the film both as an onscreen talent and as a trainer fighter."

She'll play a character named Gamon, "a 26-year-old with high-level…

If she leaves MMA & makes a living doing something else good for her. Unlike Rousey, she seems like a decent person who never went over the top with crazy talk & ridiculous, puppy dog tough-girl scowls. Although she's a Zuffa pet & makes more than most, the pay still sucks compared to many a pro athletes. If dancing, movies, fitness modeling, or whatever pay more, & she can make a good living without getting her pretty little head punched in, more power to her.
