Probably Jones, or Aldo or Wonderboy... I dunno honestly, hard to pick one, I like so many.

But if I had to go with one, it'd probably be Jones(I originally didn't like him, but he grew on me and now I'm a diehard fan).

Reason why is because he's one of the most talented, skilled and well rounded fighters in MMA, he's also got high fight IQ, has great elbows and knees/inside game so he nullifies anyone who closes the distance and is just so fucking good at the sport. Not to mention, once he embraced his personality and turned full heel I just couldn't dislike him anymore haha.

If the dude worked on his jab and right hand(and his defense) more he'd be the perfect fighter and Gus wouldn't be able to touch him ever again.

I like strikers with good counter Wrestling if I had to pick a type and I know Jones started out as a Wrestler, but his striking is amazing for a Wrestler who learned late in life.

Rory MacDonald.
Quiet, reserved, but a warrior nonetheless. A lot of people don't like him, but I think he's gonna be a champion someday. I don't want to root against Wonderboy, but I have to if he is fighting the Red King.

Side note- I hate that nickname. The Canadian Psycho fits him much better, but I think he hates that one.

Good call.

Love The Red King.

I like that nickname too, after his bloody match against Robbie and with the Canadian colors being red, I think it fits, plus that's apparantly what Rory means in Gaelic or something.

I'm very torn with the upcoming match with Thompson, I dont want either to lose.

Both great strikers.

I admit that I like the nickname more than I did the first time I heard it. It just sounds kinda like an Alice in Wonderland character to me.

I love to watch rory fight...but hes got those creepy dead eyes..i think the psycho nickname fits him well. If he wasn't dedicated to mma..pretty sure he'd be a serial killer.

Yeah.

I hate being torn right now between him and Wonderboy... but I've been a fan of Rory longer, so I think I'd rather he wins and then ride off into the sunset to get a better pay day.

Wonderboy can bounce back from a loss too the number 2 WW who had two great fights with Robbie.

Yeah, it is crazy that a 26 year old seems like he's older than a 34 year old, huh?

You didn't watch the first season of True Detective, did ya?
I did not. I saw the first episode and it was awesome but I haven't re-visited. Most of my TV time is devoted to the Fight Pass fight library. Is his nickname a reference to the show?

Right?

Wonderboy is getting up there. Doesn't look a day out of his 20's though.

Wonder what kind of injuries he has and whether he's starting to slow down from them.
This conversation is getting me even more excited/anxious about this matchup.

I'm not sure, but he did change it shortly after the show, and there was a 'yellow king' there. Without spoiling anything I can only say: kinda creepy.
So my thoughts when he announced his new nickname did not wander to Alice in Wonderland.

I get you. I mean, I think it could stick and end up working out well.. it was just off-putting for me at first.

started watching MMA because of Bj Penn, Hendo, Fedor, Rampage,...

In the recent years, Nick Diaz has been my favorite fighter. Nick's character speaks for himself. He's a real fighter meaning he's not overly obsessed with winning or losing, he just wants to come at the opponent with everything he's got and expects the same from his opponents. Just throw down and SCRAP. His definition of win or lose in the cage is same as in the streets. He's as real as it gets. Never fronts, what you see is what you get. He's as loyal as anyone can be. Even if he makes millions, still trains and lives in the ass crack of the Bay Area, Lodi and Stockton! But Nick's been inactive for awhile. Even before his suspension, for whatever reasons it was rare to see him fight and out of sight means out of mind, I started to lose interest.
Out of nowhere Nate started coming around. Nate was always around actually, but he was always in Nick's shadows and labeled as Nick's younger brother by the media and fans. Nate shares similarities in fighting style and although not as emotional as Nick, has similar demeanors too. Nate is quiet but takes care of business and is one of the biggest draws in the LW division. His accomplishments speak for itself. Nate leads the UFC OTN bonuses with 14 which shows win or lose, Nate comes to fight. So, Nate Diaz has replaced Nick as my favorite fighter. Oh! The Diaz love to burn some good chronic~ Stays Fit~ JuJitsu Masters~ and most of all, they're from the BAY. represent~

No possible way for me to pick 1 favorite. However, Matt Brown probably cracked my top 10 with his interview on Chael's podcast. He seems like the type of guy that would be awesome to hang out with. He doesn't hold anything back in the cage or in interviews. I wish other people actually said what is on their mind instead of trying to be super PC all the time.
