I bet you googled "Incest Fiji"

Confirmation bias.

Also thats 18 per million inhabitants in 12 months, not too bad....

meanwhile in inbred Canadia Is pedophilia a sexual orientation? | Toronto Star :(

Anyways man I was only kidding before, just jive talk ya hear?
I started with Google maps to see where Fiji is to locate it on that map in the OP but I could make it into an insult. From there I just typed Fiji inbred, incest and that sort of thing until I found that, best I got at 06:15. But seriously, stop taking me seriously. One day I'm gonna need your help when I go vacation in your area.

Got any plans to head down here anytime soon?
Nothing planned but we were talking about doing the Mediterranean and I steered that into Fiji and the south Pacific. I assume
"Mi Coucha tu Coucha" means my cousins your cousin right? ;)

Iirc you're a Fijian living in Australia? Australia interests me, probably in my top 10 but that's a long ass flight, I'd have to make it 2 weeks stay minimum. I have some friends that say theres a coastal area where tourists can go and basically buy a little used van or rv and go up and back them resell it to another tourist and so on, this sound familiar? That would be great. That or an Aboriginal walkabout, I know nothing of your home.

There's some inbreeding that happens in the Appalachian hill country in the States. Those people are still somewhat isolated from the modern world to an extent. They fend for themselves, keep to themselves. They even have their own language - which is a heavily accented English that is incredibly hard to understand even if English is your native tongue.

The mountains of the land sort of "trapped" them in their communities while society grew up around them. In a way, time sort of "froze" for their way of life. Although it's not as bad today as it was in the past, it's still a very interesting subject.
