Out of the list, I chose Barnett. High five to the other poster who voted him.

Of course, I would pick Fedor, but I will only believe that fight will actually happen when Buffer is announcing it in the center of the octagon with Fedor and Brock in there with him.

Barnett wants it too.

I used to really dislike him cause of the PED use but he does have a pretty cool personality outside of that.

saying that though ... #warlesnar

back at ya. this would be a good matchup. Barnett is inactive as hell too, doesn't pose that great of a physical menace other than smothering Brock and he would love to do some pro wrestling-esque promos.;

do you dismiss Fedor as "done" and at the same time hop on the Brock war train?

I'm always on the Brock wartrain because it's interesting, nothing interesting about current Fedor other than he will never be given a live opponent again. I have no issue with Fedor being signed though and was pretty mad Global M1 made the deal impossible by demanding something they knew they would never get, even if the contract he was offered by zuffa was also unreasonable at best

you can't negotiate if one side says "co promotion or no Fedor"

I don't think Brock is gonna get a tune up opponent for a one off fight either, and considering his skillset and fighting heart, I respect him a lot for coming back to what could be a one sided beating. He won't be facing a fat LHW PED abuser or someone with 2 fights that's for sure

regular john @regular john if Fedor wasn't done and his team and management believed this to be the case, wouldn't they be looking for lucrative matchups that improve his legacy and allow him to stay outside the UFC? not sure this is the right saying but .. the proof is in the pudding :)

As much as a legend as Fedor is...He wont take the lesnar fight. No reason to possibly not continue the road to mma immortality.
just my two cents.

Maybe someone else mentioned it, but isn't there a timeline for USADA that needs to be addressed?

yeah I brought it up too, but didn't go looking for the USADA info

thought it was 3 months, but then someone said he's been training since april, so perhaps he's been going through that process as he prepares.

Id love to see them give him a top 10 guy so they could dismantle him like everyone knows they will. I guess Brock will now be the Wrestlmainas undertaker.

Brock is still under contract to WWE. The odds of him fighting anyone who might make him look bad is low.

I'm guessing he fights some top end Fedor style talent so I'm predicting...

Brock ain't a chump

it has to be a known name or ranked opponent for a 1 off fight, and there are options.

Barnett and Hunt seem to be front of the line, but what about Struve?

I don't think it's gonna be Todd Duffee :D

I agree Brock ain't a chump, but his valeu to WWE is hurt if he looks weak in a loss. I doubt we see Hunt for that reason. Barnett maybe. If I were going to bet I think it'd be on Carwin coming back (off the couch) Bigfoot or Struve. What they'll be looking for is someone who's competent but will fold if the second Brock gets one of his XXXL gloves on someone's chin.

well Hunt has been told by the UFC to be ready apparently, although Hunt's comments are always open to interpretation, but I agree that power and striking is gonna be worrying, and in some ways I think Struve poses a striking threat Lesnar wouldn't be comfortable against.

regarding his stock dropping, I know it could drop more, but many consider part of his run embarrassing anyway, with him breakdancing to get away from Cain, getting absolutely mauled by Cain, Overeem and even Carwin in that first round, plus he reacts so badly to being hit, it is a million miles from his WWE persona.

he also tapped on his debut in front of various WWE guys like The Undertaker

He's been bigger than before since he went back to the WWE? I've seen a few of his suplex city matches but no clue about the bigger picture

gonna cry if they opt for Jared Rosholt :D

Overeem should've been ruled a no contest, and he beat Carwin so ultimately I don't know how much either of those things matter. People also seem to forget that not long ago Cain was considered by many poised to be the HW GOAT. Brock largely draws the ire of fans because "he's a fake wrestler"

He's still a badass in my book :)
