Fabricio Werdum responds to Javier Mendez, suggests ‘superfight’ with Rafael Cordeiro - MMA Fighting

Cain Velasquez’s coach is spicing things up ahead of a UFC 188 fight with Fabricio Werdum, and the Brazilian has fired back.

American Kickboxing Academy head coach and owner Javier Mendez says that Velasquez "wants to make a statement" and "destroy" the interim champion, putting on "a worse beating than (Junior) dos Santos" on June 13 in Mexico City.

Werdum laughed at Mendez’s comments.

Cain's head coach has been shit talking Werdum. So he suggested that Mendez should fight his head coach, Rafael Cordeiro.

as long as they fight guys their own age this would be awesome. you can only imagine how much they have learned since their days as a fighter. even against guys like randy and frank shamrock these would be interesting .

Those two are fucking legends and sure they aren't as fast, strong, maybe not as tough as they used to be, but they are SOOO LEGIT it's not even funny. Not sure about Hume or Paulson fighting again. But maybe 5 - 6 years ago during a Strikeforce broadcast Miletich Called out Frank Shamrock. Soon after Frank decided to retire. Would have been interesting fight in my opinion Miletich vs Frank Shamrock.
