"That was my first time training with him, and he's supposed to be a Muay Thai world champion. I'm not sure where he got his world title from," Northcutt said Monday on The MMA Hour. "As you could see from the fight, I actually showed up there -- my jiu-jitsu coach, my grappling coach set it all up. So I was supposed to go there and spar hard, and he starts making excuses saying his neck hurts, he's this, he's that and he can't spar, so we said okay.

"So I'm out there just toying around, as you could see in the video, barely touching him, just moving around, playing, pretty having fun, as you could see. And the comments he said, the things he said out there, those weren't true. None of those were true, and you could see that from the video."

Fighting is a weird sport. You have the toughest men in the world always talking shit behind the back of the more popular girl in class just to get attention.

All of these sparring stories are lame, and they always reek of bullshit. It just makes you look like a gossipy little bitch at best and a complete liar at worst.

I didn't see anything all that wrong there. The Thai boxing guy wasn't going any harder than Sage. It looked like a light to moderate sparring session. You can hear Sage's Dad yelling out for him to get his jab going while his coach was telling him to circle and jab.

The hits between the two didn't seem like a big deal, and Sage's Dad didn't seem like that big of a deal. That cameraman sucks though, and I can only take them for their word on what happened before and after the video.

It looks like the Thai boxing guy made a post that made a big deal out of nothing though. He probably didn't expect it to blow up like this though.

In all honesty. Do we really care? People fall out with people all the time. We might not agree with this particular session but this isnt exactly a window into If Sage turns up in his next fight looking better than the last one then great, if not maybe he needs to change something.

Judging someone on one video is always a bad idea.

Well I guess it took this long for Sage's dad to prepare an excuse as to what happen, the other guy releases a video and Sage and poppa dope come back with this story.

If telling stories of sparring sessions is a no no, whatbis recording a sparring session and then actually releasing the tape? Isn't this scum-ish On Sage's part? Will this affect him securing training partners in the future?

Lol, to me it looks like it's hidden in a duffle bag or some shit.

Edit: whoops, just watched he end and the outline I thought was a bag was the cage.

Is that short video the whole training session? Could it have been later?

Also, sage absolutely went harder than I would have liked if we agreed to take it light, which is what may Thai guy looks like he's doing. I've been in that guys shoes too many times and a pro should know better.

AFAIK, it was released by the Thai boxer or someone from his gym. It has his statement at the beginning, then I guess the video is meant to show why he said that.
