Didn't know this happened? But there is usually a very strong case as I've never even been warned about my very stupid comments and I have toed the line, accidentally many times, and still haven't been threatened.....something deeper must be at play......
while I subscribe to the theory that its just a word and however you take it is very telling of you as a person, I can see how it could be ban worthy.
Man the rest of the world isn't very sensitive to the world just because we don't have a history around it. To us its just a word we hear in hip hop.

I don't recognize him so there's nothing deeper than that. If some cultures use nigger like it's no big deal then that's news to me, I thought it was pretty offensive by almost everyone. I also had multiple reports from both posts. What am I missing here?

We arent as race sensitive in other parts of the world, Sweden for example doesnt have a history of slavery just like we dont have here either, major fishing magazines in Australia refer to Luderick or Blackfish as niggers or lizards for example and no African Australian I know gives a fuck granted they again dont have a history of being enslaved. I appreciate the transparency here unlike the other site where mods would have been silent on this thread, its one of the reasons I post here (the other being that Im banned everywhere else) but could you consider reducing the ban to a freeze?
If I thought he was a racist for a second Id be with you all the way on the permaban but he simply is not a racist just that he was raised in a society that doesnt have a history with that particular word. Thanks again for explaining your position.

There's a chance he didn't see my edit and warning of a future ban but I feel that's unlikely. To be honest I thought he was testing and that his second post has him being cheeky doing it again and that's why I banned. I'm open to unbanning if what you're telling me is the reality of what happened but I'd like to not see nigger again and hope he can see why members would report something like that.

Reminds me of that Maori fighter from the tuf Canada vs Australia. He used the word nigger (chill ok?) in an Instagram or Facebook post for a pic showing Maoris with the caption 'my niggas' or something. (IIRC another fighter reported him?) anyway the UFC released him real fast. Friends of his pleaded that this word means nothing in South Pacific and that Maoris tend to identify themselves with that word due to American influence/hip-hop etc.

I think it's disgusting that white people call each other "nigga" and think it's ok to do so. I totally get what you are saying but I don't see an excuse for it at all.
If someone made a thread here talking about Luke Rockhold losing to Bisping and said that they are happy the "cracker" got knocked out I'm sure Kelly would've done the same thing.
