Daniel Cormier has a new opponent for UFC 200 and it's Anderson Silva ... TMZ Sportshas confirmed.

After news broke Wednesday night that Jon Jones failed his drug test and was pulled from the July 9th event, Dana White and company snapped into action and booked Silva to step in and take on Cormier.

They will be fighting as light heavyweights. It will be a 3-round fight, but will NOT be a title fight.

Sliva now has 2 DAYS to get ready!!

He signed that ridiculous 11 fight deal and it's got to be worth some serious cash. UFC needs to give him some big fights so they can justify it I suppose.

Old Anderson would have a really good chance, but I fear DC will ragdoll him and then smash his head into the ground.

Cormier must've agreed to carry him for at least one round. DC, as I've stated a few times already, is a stylistic nightmare for even Prime Enhanced AS.

Unless a bazzilion dollars are involved, I don't see why Silva would take this fight. I wouldn't be against it if Silva had a lot of time to prepare and he wasn't just coming off surgery, but now it's kind of suicide. It's a fight, and Silva is one of the best mma fighters ever, you never know what he might be able to pull off, maybe he throws a crazy elbow and blasts Cormier into oblivion but the odds are heavily stacked against him.
