I had it for JJ 48-46 with the fourth a 10-8 easy. Judges scores were right in line with using actual scoring criteria, and not having any bias because of tuf.

Not even in the top 100 of the wrongly scored 10-9 rounds that should have been 10-8.
A striking round where one fighter is a punchbag? You can't offer zero attack and expect to get 9 when the other fighter lands 50 plus strikes

Did you not see the stats? Please explain to me how someone can punch you like 10 times more than you even throw and it's a 10-9 round.
I'm just conditioned to the idea that to get a 10-8 you have to really damage your opponent and come close to finishing. That never happened. Claudia was getting worked over but never seemed out of it. Just didn't have the gas to keep up anymore.

I have no problem with a 10-8 in the 4th but they're used so sparingly that I feel that something dramatic needs to happen to really give them. I wish that they were more common though as I see that as a huge issue with the current scoring system to begin with.

So what is a 10 7 by your criteria?

Dada? A 911 call but the bell rings?

10 8 is dominant. By all accounts and metrics it was dominant. I welcome more of those.

from the Unified Rules

iii. A round is to be scored as a 10-8 round when a contestant overwhelmingly dominates by striking or grappling in a round.

She landed like 70 punches to like 5. It's up there, although you're right there's a ton of poor scoring in MMA. It's like judges have a bullet to their heads and if they score a round anything other than 10-9 they'll get shot.
Agreed. There should be 10-5 rounds on a regular basis. The worst it has ever gotten, even in boxing that I can recall since the late 80's, is 10-7. So, why not make it a 4-point-must system.

10-7... Frankie being murdered twice in the first by Gray

And I, too, welcome more 10-8s. But we almost never see them when they should happen so they surprise the hell out of me when the judges use them liberally, yet appropriately.

"Does that make sense?" ~ J. Hendricks.

Yeah I would have scored it the way hagen did and gave Joanna 10-8 for rounds 4 and 5.

But maybe I'm just a liberal 10-8 kinda guy

It was 75 strikes to 6. Who gives a shit if she hurt her? (which she did. At least in the 5th). That many unanswered punches = 10-8 round. Simple as that. It looks like the judges recognized that as well.

Stupid question but how does anyone give Paige so many media oopurtunities over JJ??

Seriuosly that young lady represents the strongest female role model people could hope for and she's a god damn star!
I think its because JJ lives in poland ..and pvz is here ...and definitely digs the attention.

Totally agree thpugh .she's got a strong work ethic..and total dedication to the sport.
