Bisping Hendo 2 Officially On possibly in Manchester Location Still Undecided

Michael Bisping is the UFC middleweight champion. No one saw that coming, but his KO of Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 changed the entire landscape of his division and handed the UFC a true feel-good story. Bisping, the guy that always came up short, took his short-notice title shot and turned it into gold.

With that title comes the ability to name your opponents to a degree, and Bisping is apparently using it to try to avenge the most embarrassing moment of his career.

On the UFC 200 post-fight show on FS1, UFC president Dana White sat next to Bisping as he announced what is next for him:

"We’re going to do Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping. It’s a fight that the champ wants. It’s a fight that the fans want. We’re thinking about doing it in Manchester, England. But that’s not signed yet."

Henderson (32-14) is realistically nowhere near a title shot if we're looking at it from a sporting perspective - he's 3-6 in his last nine fights and just 2-2 since his return to middleweight. But he has two things going for him - one is that he knocked out Hector Lombard in spectacular fashion at UFC 199. The other is that he knocked out Bisping way back at UFC 100 in 2009.

I think after this fight, Bisping should take on Nigel Farage, he's ranked like 7,498,340 but people in Europe would tune it to see it.

Bisping wants it at the Old Trafford football stadium, as he's a Manchester United fan. The problem is that the Premier League fixtures begin again next month so it will be difficult to have it there.

Jacare is the deserving opponent but Dana wants to milk this first. I hope one day lots of unappreciated fighters leave Zuffa and many others follow, It's stuff like this that makes it hard to continue watching this sport. It's like you are watching the NFL and instead of the two deserving teams making it to the SB due to regualr season wins and playoff success, Roger Goodell changes everything and the fans just have to deal with it.

As I've said I have always been a Hendo fan so the fan in me is excited.
The fan of the sport is sitting back and laughing though. Especially at everyone who says that UFC doesn't make nor thrive off freakshows that only the "lesser" pegs do that. UFC does what pays.

the way i see it is that the UFC doesn't see Bisping as a draw and Hendo is literately the only big fight they can put him in , all because of the first fight and nothing else because as we all know Hendo doesn't deserve it based on his recent record

Also I don't think it has much to say about the rest of the division. This is another Conor v Nate type money grab.

I guess I'm just tired of being mad about everything and am just enjoying the fights as they come.

People complain that the flyweight division is shit because MM is too dominant and the division is shallow. Now look at the MW division. It's filled with killers from top to bottom, you can argue that it's one of the best divisions at the moment. I think Jacare, Weidman, Rockhold, Whittaker, Mousasi, Brunson, Kennedy and Romero all deserve a shot over Hendo and even some of them don't at the moment. Zuffa is making a mockery of the sport just to make more money. I understand that it's a business but we are not getting the best possible product available here.

Dan is 3-6 in his last nine.

I'll laugh when they try to sell this as such a fight that makes sense.
