Pretty good card. So far I've been a little reluctant to get totally onboard the MVP bandwagon. I'm not sure a win over Cyborg is gonna do much to get my ticket either. I'd like to see him vs someone a little more relevant in today's MMA, all due respect to Cyborg.
I'm not sold on MVP too, not at all. in the words of Jack Slack, his fights so far have just proven that "he can execute fairly common taekwondo kicks against a stationary target"

however IMO Cyborg is finally a good test for him. the blueprint to beat a happy kicker like Page is muay thai pressure with low kicks and if MVP can beat a tough, seasoned vet like that then we at last know he's real. if he can't, then he really isn't ready to face real big challenges.

This is a really good card for Bellator. Be interesting to see how it rates.
Agreed! It looks like an entertaining way to spend Friday night. Thanks for posting it, Left Hook Larry.

Do you have the link to the article where he said that?

I just looked for it and couldn't find. ended up reading a great article about Anthony Pettis' kicks - Jack Slack: Secrets of the Pettis Kick | FIGHTLAND - damn those kicks are beautiful!

anyway it was an article about "how to enjoy bad fights". how you can learn the most about a fighter when he's stuck in a boring decision or when he keeps getting in trouble against a sub par opponent.

How to Enjoy a Rubbish Fight | FIGHTLAND (another amazing article btw);

"There is nothing that tells you less than a lop-sided blow out. I am sent mail each week asking me to write about Michael 'Venom' Page, (...) but watching Page 540 kick a man who took the bout on one week notice tells us absolutely nothing except that he can execute a fairly common Taekwondo kick against an immobile opponent who was sent in to lose."

lol that KO is ridiculous indeed

Is that the Cod Mw2 Map in the background? Did you take that dumb pic from some youtube gamer video?
Nah. We were walking through a desolate wasteland (Los Angeles) and he asked if I'd take his photo for a new profile pic. That shit cray.
