What makes it so interesting I suppose, other than the fact that Hillary is one of the GOAT chicken hawks in the history of U.S politics and she has the support of the left and FAR left, which is absolutely amazing, the next most mysterious aspect of the election is how many of these types show up and how many of the opposite types no show, in a divided country with a TON of apathy on both sides, I think they swing it
I think if there ever was a case for your idea happening, it is this election. I can't deny the probability exists, though I do think the probability is slight.

I personally believe that Mitt Romney would have had a better chance than Donald Trump, to be honest. I think he is one of the best things to happen to the Hillary Clinton campaign in a way. He may even be a better candidate than her, but he is so divisive, and the minority vote is huge. Trump doesn't do well at all with minorities or women. Romney didn't either, but he was more careful about things. Tbh I personally like Trump better than Romney but that's just how I see the popular opinion here.

Corrected - my god this Redneck Uncle vote!

I knew the D was down, but had no idea Trump rallied the R base like that - I thought the turn out being up would be moderates & givenoshits showing up in the general election
Correlation is not causation.

History shows us that those turnouts are caused by a Democratic presidency. The cycle that I mentioned earlier. A democratic president brings more Republicans to the polls. Anger wins elections. It is really simple.

Damn that blue line is a scathing indictment of the Obama era...

2008 - HOPE AND CHANGE!
2012 - MEH?
2016 - PFFT!
The blue line is a scathing indictment of American voting culture, and nothing else in my opinion. Watch the democrat voting spike every time a Republican is voted in, and Republican voting go down every time they have an incumbent presidential nominee.

I think the D lack of voters showing up will be > as a % change than these silent Trump types.

The Trump circus has silenced much coverage & conversation about how unbelievably absurd and hypocrisy based Bernie supporters becoming Hillary supporters is...

and not to beat a dead horse, but they are staying home

Winningest GOP candidate ever, despite 17 competitors.

This year was an insurrection. Trump will have to pull back in the old guard, but make no mistake that Trump was pushed by a huge number of new voters that weren't going to vote for another Romney, Jeb(!), Cruz.

This is why the detachment of everyone saying, "oh no this isn't the party of XXXXX, it has become the party of Trump!" is a failed critique and insult. We know. That's what we wanted!

You could be right because Hillary is such a terrible candidate, but you also have to factor in the fact that there are Republican voters who are going to stay home as well. Not everyone on that side of the fence is all hunky-dory about Mr. Trump being the president.

I still really don't think he has the electoral votes. In fact, I think it's currently a landslide.

I used this earlier to make fun of the politicians in the party, not the constituency.

Will be fascinating how Cruz, Carson, Beck and their fundy creep followers play out the rest of convention week through the generals, those people are dolts to me but they do what they are told, if god rallies them (by proxy of course) they will probably do what they are told.

I would like to also point out that this is the election process turnout, and the numbers are skewed because the Democrats already had an assumed candidate for years. That will definitely lower voter turnout. The Republicans had like 200 choices. It's obvious who is going to have more people turn out to vote.

Look at Chris Christie who is 100% on the Trump train. The national convention has completely been filled with Trump-isms and Trump ideas. He is going to change the landscape of the party, which to me is worth putting up with his big dumb mouth though all of this.

I never said that the Republicans had no idea who was going to be their guy. Bush was talked about but nowhere near as assumed as Hillary. Are you claiming that everyone thought Bush was as foregone of a conclusion as Hillary? Cmon, son. Not even close.

Yea, fuck that guy, respectfully.

If Christie gets a cabinet slot I might return my flowy yellow hairpiece
