They are total normies
Varies by state, but you can be a delegate. Some states have prohbitive fees that parties often cover.
Others don't. You attend a local precinct caucus in some dude's living room and make your case to be a delegate.
Then you go.
Different states have different rules, but most leave the delegates bound to the popular vote. The unbound ones are bullshit and these normies get bribed. The only real power a delegate should have is in the case of being unbound after their candidate drops out and must make a second choice on behalf of the coalition that sent that delegate.
This is the exact vibe it gives off. What a mess.
