Rough market out there. This guy in Japan posted the album I've had my eyes on at $350. Record itself in mint condition and cover listed as very good +. I asked him to send me a pic because the description mentioned damage to the front cover.
He sent me the pics and said, "I think that it is a level of NM not G+ or VG." He tried to upsell me that fucking thing as "near mint." Told him I wasn't interested and thanked him for his time.
Then I get an email from Discogs today alerting me that two copies are available. Apparently he got his hands on another copy and listed them both.
$800 for a Celine Dion album?!? Talk about gouging the market! And he raised the price of the original by $100 -- because he felt the damage wasn't as bad as he initially thought.
