1. We don't know if Jones was smoking the weed. I like how in the gossip world it went from being booger sugar to now weed..which is what I said.
2. He's being sought after for a misdemeanor hit and run. If you've never had a run in with the law, you want a misdemeanor, community service and a fine. No real jail time.
3. If he is found guilty of the misdemeanor he will still be able to fight as he will get a work license. They will no doubt fine him and his lawyer will say he needs to work.
4. He needs help. Not sure how old you guys are but if you're an 80's kid (not born, but 10years or older) you will know half of our tv stars who were kids are either dead or broke...too much too soon.
5. He should have stayed and took what was coming. Now they're going to add charges as if they get rewards for it.
6. He's not as righteous as he believes he is.

SNIDELY WHIPLASH @ABE FROMAN i agree that the jbj hate wins strong in the mma community. I think he's a great fighter. I also think that anyone - ANYONE - who takes the lives of others and gambles with them by driving dui is a piece of shit.

Soap box time bitches:
My father was 49 years old when some fucked up 19 year old punk took his life. I notice in all this not many people have expressed a lot of concern for the fucking pregnant woman he allegedly might have injured. Please everyone that sees my words, I'm pleading with you. Please do not drive under the influence.
~End rant
The initial reports about the pregnant woman is that she suffered minor injuries.

I hope Vince Gilligan is paying attention. Better Call Saul season 2 storyline is happening before our eyes.

MMA paperwork with the name Jon Jones on it. From the report, I am not sure if he sideswiped or t boned the lady driver. Anyone able to break it down a bit clearer for me? Thanks.
I need one of those Judge Judy demonstration boards with the play cars. I THINK what happened is that the lady was driving straight on a green light and Jon (oncoming traffic headed towards her) turned into her when his turn arrow was still red. I'm not totally sure---that report is a headache. A RUN ON PARAGRAPH IN ALL CAPS TYPED BY HAM FISTED DETECTIVE ON AN OLD TYPEWRITER apparently.

It could be a felony. If there are injuries of any kind as the result of said accident the suspect can be charged with a felony depending on the state. But that is how most states define a felony hit and run.

Absolutely. Can you imagine if she miscarried? What a tragedy this COULD have been. Thank God she and the baby are ok. Jones needs to man the fuck up, turn himself in, pay the piper, and get his shit together.

So have we ever had someone at Jones' level that didn't get weird from the fame/power/yes-men?

GSP? Who esle?

Do most succumb to it if they hit the top .1%? Is the system designed to burn them out in this craziness?

That's a felony, sir.
Its the job of the police to charge. Job of the lawyers to decide what will be presented to the judge. And up to the defense to argue it back down to misdemeanor. Dont get caught up in what it migbt be but focus on what is is.

I too am happy that the unborn child is good to go!

Jones needs help and i dont think that help will come from prison time.

That's what I keep thinking.
Jones is probably surrounded by the same hanger-ons as other athletes. Im upset with his family and the UFC profiting on that unequal relationship following December. That could have been the wake up call. The UFC, like the NFL and NBA, owes these guys counseling and mentorship from previous champions. If you fuck it after that so be it. We can't stop you from shooting yourself in a club.... But the UFC shouldn't be clearing and making excuses so they can profit on the dangerous path their athletes are taking.

so with a hit and with drugs and injuries toi another person, no immediate warrant is given out?
seems weak to me
