That could have been the wake up call. The UFC, like the NFL and NBA, owes these guys counseling and mentorship from previous champions. If you fuck it after that so be it. We can't stop you from shooting yourself in a club.... But the UFC shouldn't be clearing and making excuses so they can profit on the dangerous path their athletes are taking.

I dont think any employer should be forced to make someone undergo counseling but they should make it available. Remember, these guys are contractors and i feel a union in mma will be as bad as free agency in the nfl

All kinds of companies require an orientation. That's all I'm saying here. Not counseling as you might be thinking.

Bring in GSP, whomever, let him give a group talk about what they are about to have to deal with. Leave the line open as a mentor after.

Ya. If it is something they offer they should put it out there that mental health services are available. However in jbj case, remember he checked himself into therapy so there wasnt much zuffa could Do.

This is sad. Guy really needs to sort his shit out. Being a figure head in a major sport isn't a free pass to be negligent and reckless especially if it involves the well being of others. Shit he broke that girls arm, he's lucky that's all that happened. He smashed up his bentley previously. How many other times did he get away with driving under the influence?
At this point i think an example should be made of him.

That + Nelson's "Uncle Tom" comments about DC don't give off a good look IMO. No matter what color Jones & Rampage are, what they did was dumb and should be punished
