Merkel's own party turns on her after election defeat

Good to see German's waking up. Things going to get spicy Q @Qat ?
Na, just the usual banter. Her support in her own party is fragile at best since years. At least openly.

They are playing a game. Whenever they lose votes due to her not being right-leaning enough, some of the base and the CSU is starting to shout. The CSU also makes the very right-leaning statements, its their way of playing to that clientèle. Seems like the normal reflex.

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has a lot right-leaning people like all former DDR states, which are still poor comparing to other territories. The only votable option before was the CDU, if you didn't want to vote full neo-nazi. But Merkel is not right-leaning (enough), so they jumped ship, it was bound to happen with the AfD, pretty sure I predicted it here too a while ago.
Don't even need to click that link, its prolly just funny.

Merkel will truck on as usual, unless she decides its time to go. That is the reality of it.

About waking up? Haha. Its just the idiots that voted CDU before now voting something else, since the CDU weren't right enough. We have idiots too, not just the US or the UK. :)

I'm just glad people are finally getting fed up with her and the open door policy. That would have had a far better chance of working in the US than it does in Germany. We already have a melting pot of different people. As an outsider I think Germany would be at it's best if they focus on their own people first instead of trying to help foreigners. Germany first and if it doesn't help the German people we don't do it. I don't think that's where Merkel's heart lies I believe she's a globalist at heart.
