He was a college level football player in the 25th century that decided to pull a pete rose and gamble/throw games. It fucked his life up so he decided to steal some artifacts that would give him powers and go back in time 5 centuries. Given the option between reading a comic about an unchanging bland demigod who's story will always reset to its baseline every four issues, or a character with various levels who is allowed to evolve under the control of a creative writer, I will always choose the latter. Of course the things I found to be quality always kept getting cancelled.
PS I gave you my first drunk rating, mostly because I don't like arguing with people, but you make me feel like it's safe to argue with you and you won't turn into a weirdo. So I appreciate that @Alienator .
