More bad news fight fans. UFC 187 has just lost another marquee attraction.
Khabibi Nurmagomedov, the #2 ranked UFC Lightweight, has been forced to withdraw from his bout with Donald Cerrone on May 23 according to a report by MMA Junkie. Citing an anonymous source "close to the fighter" but unable to speak on the record because "they are not authorized to discuss such matters," Junkie's John Morgan went live with the story this evening.
"While the exact nature of the injury wasn't immediately revealed, additional sources indicated Nurmagomedov's knee was the culprit. An exact timetable for his return wasn't established," Morgan wrote.

A mysterious injury no one will talk about after telling everyone he's 100%? Either he's more fragile than he claims Pettis to be or something is weird here.
Plus because of Ramadan now, he may not fight till the fall. What a waste of cheap talk.

If Weidman or Vitor pulls out. That would just be fucking unbelievable.
A perfect example of a card that looked SO amazing on paper.. And everyone actually thought it was gonna stay together. I was actually fooled into believing this would stay together.
Then, within just weeks? We lose the main event (replaced but not the same) and the highest non title fight on the card between two guys on huge streaks. A big part of the show.
Seriously, Weidman or Vitor pulling out at this point wouldn't even fucking shock me. It's just how this shit goes, ALL THE TIME. I have actually become jaded about it now. Just the other day I asked on here "what';s the full card for UFC 187?". This was legit within a couple days ago.
And someone posted it, and I was like "Oh wow, forgot about Donald vs Khabib, what a great fight. Can't believe we're getting Jones/AJ, Weidman/Vitor and Donald/Khabib on one show"
Two of those are gone now. And I would not be surprised in the last if the other one falls apart either.
God this sucks. I'm done with MMA for the night, lol, last few days have been a ridiculous roller coaster that has done nothing but hurt the sport in a bunch of different ways.
At least May 2nd is days away. If anything happens with that, I AM DONE. FOEVA
