It makes no sense to have a symbol for a two-letter word, especially one that starts with an "A", then continues AROUND the "A".
@ should mean "around", not "at", clearly.

Test ( *around)

This guy on his bike was going in circles, @ and @ and @ until he puked everywhere, and it was @ midnight and I had to go to bed so I let my wife clean it up, and she did.

And "at" requires you to type THREE times, as you are pushing "a", then shift button, hitting @, then releasing shift and moving on.
Ridiculous....

It's @ 6am my time, and were still @ 2 signatures.
I believe we need @ 10,000 more to take this to the White House.
I hope ya'll get @ to signing on.
Remember, if we don't change the world someone else will.
Next dictionary cycle @ could mean something even less sensicle.
Please do the right thing, then spread the word @ town.

But that's just it, all arbitrary symbols can stay the same.
Hashtag blah blah blah sounds stupid, and will be as obsolete as a pager in 10 years.
As will IschKabibble @IschKabibble .
A problem this tiny is what we used to call in the special forces "a wafer".
We could even change tags to "~", because it looks like an arm is tagging someone.
This will catch on and I'm sure you and others will come @.

I've gained nothing of use from this thread, other than getting to hear Stephen Pearcy belt out "Round and Round" again. Haven't heard that song in years.

I was wondering what he was up to now so I googled his ass. Apparently Pearcy has finally given up on Ratt and has invented a thing called Mic-Knuckles.

So when we normally talk about sporting events with the @ symbol, like "tonight's wild card matchup is BAL@TOR", how will people know where to meet for the game?

Are they all just going to wander AROUND Toronto and hope they find a baseball field? None of this sounds very efficient.

It will be changed to "at".
Bad example btw.
Toronto only has one ballpark on account of the mounties' coup de etat on all sports not involving syrup or dinosaurs.
