It always comes down to this for any hunter to say to someone like me. If that helps you sleep at night thats cool lol. I already made my stance and how I feel about eating meat in general. I do it because of what I do but when that is over so is me eating meat.
I respect your stance but your opinion is moot until you are a vegetarian...

We hunt to keep the numbers of game animals in order.

We are doing what is natural by hunting and eating them, just like they do what's natural to them when a guy gets mauled out in the bush( I wouldn't go deep into the bush alone myself).

The one thing that I don't agree with is trophy hunting when the animal isn't a threat or a pest.

You realize the animals you are eating for the most part live misrable lives, while game animals are doing exactly what they want and need until that very last moment?

As I said to Jason it's the same response I get from hunters because I eat meat, and yes I realize the way the animals are killed is far from humane but hunting for sport and pretending it's some type of necessity is just silly and wrong. That's why I said I don't really want to continue the discussion because it's just my opinion. I just couldn't imagine killing any animals for any reason what so ever. I eat meat to be able to do what I do sure that is NO excuse but that is my truth. When I'm done competing I'm done with meat.

Your opinion is animals are the most efficient killers on planet and not man?

That is demonstrably incorrect.
No, my opinion is they were here first and we fucked up their homes, their lives, the number of their species (of some animals), we have caused many animals to be extinct and that is NOT our right. See with me I get More upset when an animal dies than people for the most part. I'm convinced if there is such thing as past lives I was an animal.

This is the sort of shit that scares the hell out of me considering where I live. My brother was attacked like 8 years ago but he was able to duck under the bears initial attack then shoot and kill it and a friend of mine was mauled last year around this time.

There was a Grizzly spotted on a bike trail I frequent. I live in the bush so when I walk outside to get the mail I have to be aware.

One thing I know, it's the not bears fault.

Bears you find deep in the woods normally don't attack, they are just curious. The bears close to humans that are not scared of us are the dangerous ones most of the time.

More than 99 percent of all species that have ever existed are extinct.

I'm not saying we should go murdering shit willy nilly, but if you place an animal life above that of a person's i cannot say i understand that line of thinking.

If i could save the life of:

Or the life of:

Bye bye bunny.

We've caused population explosions of some species too like the kangaroo so they need to be culled or they'll cause even more species to go extinct plus fuck up the land with over grazing. Imo

Which I understand and I think we do that in some areas with Deer but you know what I mean as a whole. I will never win this discussion unless I have animal lovers like me in it haha.

Another thing we could try to do is stay the fuck out of their space. We snap and kill when they come onto our properties but its all good to go into their world and upset them and then kill them and say its in self defense.
So just stay in our concrete jungles all the time? Fuck that noise. I love nature, and I love seeing animals in their natural habitat. There's no place I'd rather be than out in the woods.

Well when we consider the fact that he'd still be eating animal byproducts his point would still be moot. The way we get eggs, milk and such are as cruel or even crueler than a slaughter house. Even if he eats free range eggs and milk it'd still be hypocritical. I guess it would be less terrible if he was a vegan.... although animals still die in VERY large numbers in agriculture.

He's a hypocrite. His stance doesn't deserve respect.

So I read everyone of Pitbull9 @Pitbull3744's comments and they can be summarized as "I contribute to factory farming and the ruthless slaughter of billions of animals, yet seeing someone harvest meat for themselves is too personal so I will disagree with it and take an unearned moral high ground."

Pitbull is a good guy. I think what he means is that he doesn't like trophy hunting. Im not big on it either but catch and release most of my fish which isn't far off.
