When the main "MMA Media" is reporting Kimo's death, working for the company's they report on, and make their money by repeating 8 'articles' on the exact same subject, I have a hard time being to bent out of shape about a twitter personality.

Heres the last 1.5 days of a major MMA website:

This is modern online MMA media. It's complete total garbage to force the spreading of clicks. Take the smallest quote, expand and write so much horseshit about it that someone has to spend 10 minutes just sorting through to find the relevant points, wash, rinse repeat...
Blogs require word count and clicks to make money. So they choose that over quality.

So FRB gives me all the same unproven information but only wastes 140 characters of my time and doesn't purport to be a news outlet? So be it. He's an online gossip source. And as long as he doesn't get offended by being considered that, I won't be offended by his output.

I don't mind the dude. He has some good information at times.

Unlike other news outlets that have to verify things and make sure they got it right, he just tweets what he hears. Sometimes he hears the good stuff and sometimes its bad intel.

I dont follow his twitter enough to know what the ratio of bad to good is though.

When he's wrong he claims he's not a journalist and insults those that point it out.

Don't really have any issues with him and I can't really understand why some people give him such a hard time. He breaks a lot of real stories before anyone else but it's only because he doesn't need to validate rumors through multiple sources.

I remember frb well from the ug.

He was kind of a prick, but I don't know if that was before or after people started getting on him for being a ginger.

His scoops are decent, but I don't like how he back peddaled with the Jones thing when facts came out then reversed course and went all in when the whole truth came out. He's a rumor monger more than a muckraker and in this day and age, I guess there's nothing wrong with that.
