Dana White: Luke Rockhold ‘probably’ next for UFC middleweight title

When asked about Rockhold getting the next shot at Weidman...

"Probably. It makes sense that he would be next, yes, that he would be next," White saidof Rockhold during a scrum with the Latin America media. "Who knows how all this stuff is gonna play out."

"Even talking about it doesn’t make sense because, first of all, Chris still has to fight Vitor, and whoever wins has to come out uninjured, which hasn’t been easy to do lately, and then we have to make sure Luke stays healthy," he said. "We’ll see what happens with Weidman and Vitor and we will go from there."

Good, because Weidman & Rockhold is going to be one hell of a fight. Weidman beats him, but it will be a war.

I'm 100% in Weidman camp, but that's going to be a tough fight after Weidman beats Vitor

Dana know Weidnan loses to Jacare. He doesn't want another Brazilian holding the belt. The UFC is easier to promote when the champ looks like a majority of the fans and speaks their language. It's just business.

Jacare deserves the next shot, this is ridiculous.
He's had to wait in line just like Vitor for a year.
Rockhold has been impressive since Belfort closed his mouth temporarily, but Jacare has won 8 fights in a row going unbeaten for just over 3 years, whereas Luke has gone unbeaten for just over 3 fights.

I believe that means, if Weidman beats Belfort, then Jacare will have to beat him too.
If Vitor beats Weidman, Jacare will have to beat him too.

AT LEAST offer Jacare Rockhold, which if they were cool like Pride, could happen on the same Bones-less card.

I believe you are correct. Luke's going to be able to sit it out until he fights for the title. Jacare is going to have to beat one of those monsters, in order to get to fight for it. From a pure merit perspective, he is getting the shaft.
