Hotel rooms everywhere are breathing a sigh of relief.

He might be retired but he still owes me $200

He's not going anywhere. I'm struggling to think of a fighter who said they were retired and then actually stayed retired.

I doubt he stays retired. He has to make it seem like he doesn't need the UFC to posture for more money. I doubt it's more than that.

I feel that this is a front like most.

I'm telling you, most saw that 4.2b figure, started feeling their own pockets, and figured that something wasn't right.

It's crazy to think that the UFC could go from 43m in debt(under zuffa) to a value of 4.2b in what? 15 years?

Fighters got to get paid; any and all tactics are on the table.

I was sort of indifferent to the news. Not sure how to express it without crossing the bashing lines but I've always found him to be a bit obnoxious and I don't think he will garner much sympathy from the UFC for his previous antics unless he becomes super famous or something.

With that said I hope he makes more money doing whatever it is he does. Sell those home holmes! :p

Wonder what he plans to do for income if he does choose this? Doubt he'd want to open a school and compete with Serra and Renzo.

You could be right, but he may get more by leaving and claiming that he isn't desperate to come back. It's definitely got a better chance than showing your hand publicly.
I just don't think he's got the fan base to warrant them playing him more to come back. They let Nate sit for awhile who's way bigger of a draw.

He recently became a real estate agent.
