You all have stepped up your Twitter games the last couple of days, and can you tell a difference? We had 40-70 online consistently yesterday, and we've had like 6-7 new members sign up yesterday and today.

the 'frames' layout may be straight out of 1998, (I think "never use a frameset" was accepted wisdom literally before the turn of the century) but it allows you to view the thread list and go to another thread without shifting context completely, which is much nicer than constantly clicking back and forth.Everyone is still waiting for the unveiling of the frames version of this forum!

The other thing I like about that site is the lack of clutter. I just want to read the thread, not see avatars and signatures over and over. A one-line post takes significant real estate here.
That, the existence of the (rather sad but at least minimally functional) app, and general inertia have kept me there.
(not to complain, I know you don't have the time/resources to build some kind of fantastic experience - hey, lots of great names on here! I lurked on the UG for years and had a previous screen name that I totally forget, but only started posting a few months back in a fit of work boredom.)
We kind of have an app, we are Tapatalk compatible.. And it's free

Log onto our site using your phones browser, and let me know how your experience compares to any app. It's like posting from a PC, so although Tapatalk is an option here, we actually encourage people not to use it because the site looks and functions so well on smartphone browsers. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
Multiple tabs allow you to view a thread and the thread list without going back and forth. As far as an app, it isn't needed, since this site isn't stuck in the turn of the millenium, the site works well on phone browsers.
I will say you have a way with backhanded compliments.
It's so limited though, and the site functions so well on smartphone browsers, that I actually prefer people not even use it. It's an option (if necessary), but smartphone browsing is the way to go.
