bars by me were charging $25 per person to get inAt $100 too. If it was priced at $60-70 they probably would have hit 6 million buys.
I'm sure a lot of people went to bars instead of ordering at home due to the price.
That's more than every UFC pay per view in 2014 combined.
"The famous ppl you have right now are the only famous people that are going to exist in the future for boxing... The De La Hoyas, the Bernard Hopkins, the Jermain Taylors... There WILL BE NO NEW ONES.... All the new ones will be in MMA" - Joe Rogan, 2007
I agree."I am not interested in that fight as much as this one."
Yeah, that was pretty dumb."I think we're going to compete with Mayweather and Pacquiao," McGregor said.
One journalist asked McGregor if he expected his Aldo fight to do 4 million pay per view buys.
"We will see. Is that what you estimate Mayweather and Pacquiao to be?," McGregor asked. The reporter said his personal estimate was 3.5 million.
"Three and a half? I don't think so," McGregor replied. "I am not interested in that fight as much as this one."

I got bored rather quickly, even as a person who enjoys great defensive boxing.$70mil gate for this fight too. Crazy what it generated. Perfect storm of hate(for Mayweather), anticipation, and talent. Truly a cultural phenomenon, it is a shame for all combat sports the fight was a dud.
This is rediculous. So about 500 million revenue off just WATCHING, not including any physical sales?
And they made what between the two of them?200 million or so?
300 million left. Even at 50% overhead that's still a good 150-200 million in profit. Just from watching.
Or about the same GDP as the Marshall Islands.
I wonder how much they made on international tv sales. Also is that buy rate for America only? The PVP was ÂŁ20 in the UK and other places, but it all adds up.So about 500 million revenue off just WATCHING, not including any physical sales?

I'm a Joe Rogan Experience subscriber, so I've heard his explanation for that comment. I don't think I've ever heard him say he was "promoting an agenda not entirely his own", but his did try to win a live on air debate with a boxing guy that Joe has since referred to as a "dick". I get it. In retrospect you have the luxury of going back and downplaying all the erroneous statements you've made over a lifetime, but at the time you know he kind of meant it.@Joe Rogan Has stated that he was (i'm paraphrasing here mind you) pretty much promoting an agenda not entirely his own with this statement though.

Found it. Don't know if this is what you saw/heard or not. Like i said, i was paraphrasing here but he says "because the ufc wanted me to". Maybe a little of both?I remember Joe saying the 'they[the UFC] sicced me on him'. Whether that means he was saying shit he didn't believe at the time, or was given a script of some such, I don't know.
Joe says they (UFC) wanted him to debate Lou DiBella because he talked a lot of shit about the UFC. They sicked Joe on Lou, but they didn't tell Joe what to say. Thanks for posting the video! He will be able to in December when Conor faces Frankie at MSG for the belt. Probably do 5 million buys. 33% coming from the people of Jersey. In the summer you wont get our support as we are busy eating cheeseballs, tanning, and clubbing. In the winter, its too cold to go outside and we will be ready to back our guy.Can you imagine the shit Dana would talk if they every did anything close to a # like this? lol, it would be epic.
