I don't think it's Zuffa personally behind this, but i doubt she hasn't been coached somewhat by her employers in the matters of PR.

I think you're overestimating the intelligence of the media and the influence of Zuffa. Both are a lot more incompetent than we give them credit for.

In fact, Zuffa is arguably the least PR-savvy large sports organization on the planet.

So after all of that, it's kind of hard to not think there's a hidden agenda in there somewhere when Floyds name comes up. If the UFC is the Super Bowl of MMA, bigger than the NFL and Soccer...they shouldn't need to lean on a hypothetical fight between Ronda & Floyd to promote the 135 lb womens division & it's champion. Her accomplishments within the organization should be enough.

I can't think of a single instance where Dana or Ronda have brought up Floyd unprompted by an interviewer. Floyd's current. He's around the same weight. If you're a reporter looking to generate clickbait, it's only logical to bring it up. Ronda, I think, has been mostly just answering the questions they put to her. She's never called Floyd out or brought him up independently even once.

And yeah, she'd armbar him in less than a minute.
