I actually looked him up because I recognized the name....brought back the memories when I read he was located in Eugene
Very cool. I'm not sure that Don is all that popular or main stream, but he's a legend for those that know :).

I wish I could listen to some of those sessions you saw!

Do you follow Leo Kottke?
My wife just scored some free tickets for us to see Leo this Thursday at the Paramount Theater, which is an awesome smaller venue to see shows. The Paramount is an iconic Austin place, I love seeing shows there.

I'm stoked!!

Two words man.

FUCKING AWESOME.

The show was outstanding, Leo still has the chops. Played 5 of his older songs I was hoping to hear, so that was great. He's a funny dude, his banter and storytelling between songs is awesome. All around very entertaining.

I wanted to take some pics, but at the Paramount they ask you to shut off your phone, which I respect and enjoy. They have an attitude there of "just enjoy the next couple hours, and leave your phone/outside world stuff for after the show". I didn't see a single phone screen lit up during the show, which is pretty cool IMO. I did not want to be the lone douchebag trying to snap a pic :)

I'll post some pics in a minute of the venue though, is a gorgeous place. The Paramount is 102 years old, incredible place.

Hauler @Alco Hauler This was a cool bonus of the Leo concert:

Because it was Leo, the Paramount had a table set up with these stapler looking things that allow you to stamp out guitar picks. They had a bunch of expired gift cards to use as the blanks. I was able to line up one with the Paramount sign out front, and one with the Capital building here in austin.

After reading theough the Canadian Music thread (particularly since you brought up Lenny), I wanted to bump this old thread I made about Lenny...and then as I scrolled through I realized you had already contributed some great stuff in here (back in your Harry Rama days :)).

This was a good thread to go through again, lots of good videos posted in here.

I'm still trying to get through all you posted in the Canadian music thread...
