An old thread by now, but just thought I'd share a thought here.
From what I can gather, the destruction was underway well before Dana's success. Just going on memory, not that I'm going to scour the swamp for facts or evidence (especially not in June's book, which is cringe-worthy on multiple levels). It stands to reason though. You might say the money sped up and magnified what was already a Dr. Phil episode in progress. Or perhaps it never could progress beyond the long stretches of silent treatments and the occasional hissing phone call---the shitshow might have been stranded, with no ante the table and no way to take it to the next level. Then the money came and there were stakes to be had.
At any rate, I'm inclined to agree that this familial slopfest is impenetrable. Everyone's guilty, and not just in a trivial way. So many lines crossed and bridges burned, I'll bet even the lawyers feel dirty.
