I'm asking about how we pick the Rumble.
I don't know about Angle, but it seems like Joe is on his way out of nxt based on his recent losses to Shinsuke and apparently now Kenny Omega is leaving Japan.
We should do the 4 matches already announced apart from the Rumble and for the Rumble itself:
-Give each person 5 guesses at surprise entrants (that are not on the official entrant list)
-And one guess at the winner.
-2 points per correct surprise entry 5 points for the calling the winner.
Pick winner, final 4, debuts/returns maybe?
the other idea would be to give people a deadline during the week before to enter the special game for the rumble and either have that many people choose from a pool of the 30 numbers (so if 5 people are in each gets 6 people get 5 each, if it's 4 or 7 then leave the two left over where everyone or no on gets the points should that slot win) or give it them randomly.
Eg:
(probably random draw as it would be faster, but you can do picks but it would take too long IMO)

Participant 1: spot 24 (Then 24 is no longer available)
Participant 2: spot 9 (Then 9 is no longer...)
Participant 3: spot 15 Etc...
Participant 4: spot 28
Participant 5: spot 4
Round 2
Participant 1: spot 19
Participant 2: spot 30
.. etc until done or there`s an indivisible remainder are all win slots.
Eg:

That's a really interesting idea. I think I've got an idea that will work for the Rumble match, I'll post it up tomorrow and of course tag everyone. Thanks for the ideas!
in the end you really don't need people ahead of time that badly, you just re-adjust later for the final amount of people that make the deadline.
The randomness makes it a Rumble lottery of sorts. I wouldn't have minded doing it separately than the picking system, the UG forum does a similar thing where a thread is opened and you just type IN and that post # is your slot and you can finagle it a little bit by waiting but if you wait too long then you might exceed the threshold of 30 people.
I was thinking pick the matches, and then everyone picks what they think will be the entry number of the winner. Guessing the number correctly will have an absurd amount of points attached to it.
Yeah, the only argument counter to that is with 30 entrants and the somewhat low amount of people here and the largely unknown entrants multiple unique picks per person, and less points in the end for a win gives you more reason to be engaged for your numbers longer rather than one and done and the strong possibility no one picks right, or many people do.
It gives you more cards in the deck during the game as a whole.
I'd rather this process last as long into the match for as many people as possible rather than multiple people pick the one winner if a lot of us agree or a lot of us out of the game early but virtue of the fact it is only one pick per.
Even further you could reward getting name into the final 5 as well that way.
2 points per name in the final 5 (or 10 depending on number of picks per person it ends up) 10 points for the winning entrant.

What was the final tally?
Lets do the major PPVS and maybe two to four others and have more points involved. There are too many and one a month has proven a a problem to get people informed to pick
Aim to start with SummerSlam, DO Survivor, Rumble, Mania and pick 2 other PPV's of each brand in between and make a hard schedule ahead of time (subject to WWE renaming or changing things drastically) Or start with MITB
EX:
MITB (RAW PPV)
SUMMERSLAM
PPV IN THE FALL (SD)
SURVIVOR SERIES
RUMBLE
PPV IN SPRING (RAW)
MANIA
PPV POST MANIA OR THE SD ONE PRE-MANIA AND END WITH MANIA (SD)
8 Total Mixes the two brands if you want less end with Mania and take away the post mania one and MITB but MITB would be fun to pick.
Award 3 points for a correct winner in normal matches, 2 points for the method. Make MITB worth 10 points ect.
This gives more of a chance to think and notify people of an event coming up, we should use the calendar system on this site to let people get automated warnings but until there are full lineups for cards, we obviously can't pick, but people can be aware.
Basically make threads for those events way ahead of time, but the admin(s) only unlock the threads for replies when the lineup has been finalized.

Weird, I assumed because the briefcase is for the Raw title it would be a Raw PPV.
Ok we'd just have to swap another one in the fall then.

It is a SD title MITB, I got confused on who is on what brand since I don't watch the shows any more due to it being even crappier than before.
The PPV is SD and the match is for the SD title briefcase. They should have one for each show and make it a 5th combined brand PPV but, yeah no Vince wants to make the best booking gimmick of the year SD only for some reason.
I mean, I assume that an SD ppv MITB would be for that title but maybe I'm wrong, haven't been paying that much attention
