What do you do for a living?

What are your prospects or isn't there any?

Does it pay well?

Is it something you are lucky enough to enjoy or do you have to stick with it now (responsibilities etc)?
I do something for a living.

Prospects are good. I'm in a sector that can not be outsourced or replaced by efficient machines.

I have no idea what 'paying well' means. I suppose I'd consider it 'decent'.

Some days I enjoy it, sometimes I don't. And I have to stick with it although my only responsibility is taking care of myself (that's a full time job in and of itself)

In the banking business.
Ended there by accident.
Been there ever since.
Pays ok.
They trained me and promoted me.
Bureaucratic but can't complain.

Geologist/Consultant. I was at a larger company for about a decade, and then me and a great friend and colleague started our own business. We're almost 3 years in now and doing well. My job is an interesting mix of hydrogeology, caving, and endangered species.

I'm an electrolux vacuum salesman.
Room for growth is unlimited, especially in the 3rd quarter of the year.
Annual sales for an individual representative topped $680,000,000 yen in 2015.
I plan on doubling the to 98,000 rubles by next fall.
You must be really bored today...

I work at Bravissimo as lead bra measuring engineer.

I love it.......so much so that I tend to work a lot of voluntary overtime.

It pays £90,000 per year and I have a very loyal client base as I offer additional services for free.

That is awesome my man. Many people aren't able to say that honestly.
I have worked a lot in my life. Started off manually digging graves night time. It was nice beautiful environment, freedom to get stoned and manual labour. Teaching thai kids is amazing, once you get over the cultural differences. I wake up in the morning and feel great about going to work.

I'm a Terminal Manager for a trucking company.

Prospects are not what I wish they were.

I fucking hate it but I make good money (90k base) so I feel stuck...trapped

Started in the Automotive buisness in 86.. Finished University and was very hard to find work at the time. A friend was selling cars and said I should try it for a while since I am a car guy. It was good money and got a new car every couple of months. After four years was promoted to Sales Mananger, another few became General manager. In 97 was hired by the Manufacurer in Dealer Finance, was great experience. 2002 applied for National Sales and eventually was in charge of National Training . Was a ball, got to see the new Cars/Trucks before anyone else, learn everything about them, drive them on track, street and some off road. Then go introduce, promote, teach and show the vehicles to the media and sales teams across the country. Final Promotion was to VP, Did that until I had to take early retirement a few years back (health reasons). For a car guy who really didn't know what the hell he wanted to do I couldn't of asked for a better carreer. Worked my ass off but financially it was well worth it.

Suckception.

I remember being at my grandma's house as a kid and one of them Kirby salesmen came over to try and sell her one. She had him clean the front room and then said sorry I can't afford it. Lol. I was impressed by how effective it was though.

Fast forward 20 years and I move into a new place and I'm somewhat loathing the idea of spending a decent amount of money on a vacuum cleaner. I go through 3 I think from the goodwill and they are all terrible heaps of shot that don't really work.

So I step it up a hear gear and got the Craigslist ads. I see one of them Kirby ones for sale and give them a call and head over.

It's a 70 year old woman that answers the door, it belonged to her dead mother who got it new some years back and it had been chillen in a closet since. Still had some of the original carpet shampoo and all the accessories!

Here's a pic of one

Produced in 1990 -93

Fucker weighs 3 tons and you have to put it in drive to move it. It's badass tho

Can still get the bags on Amazon
Kirby's are heavy, but my goodness do they clean the absolute shit out of a carpet.

My brother has just returned from a year in Vietnam. Spent 3 days back in London before deciding he hated it. He's going to do that Tefel course and move back to Nam for good.

Any advice I can pass along?

Dude Greaser

Pretty much at the top of my field in MMA. If I wanted to do more work I would start picking up boxers, but I already travel about 32 weeks a year, so I dont need a ton more work.

Pays OK at my level, especially factoring in sponsorships like I have with Affliction. At the regional levels you'll be lucky to get paid at all.

I enjoy it. I left an extremely well paying but stressful job in order to do this full time.

i'm an electromagnetics engineer, currently working in wireless connectivity for Internet of Things.
Will probably move over to 5G/Autonomous Driving later in the year.
my employer uses "golden handcuffs" to keep me here, but I really dig being on the bleeding edge of technology.
40k dead/2M seriously injured in car accidents in the US every year. So working on that project is like working on a cure for cancer.

My 3rd child is due in June, and my wife has the same degrees that I do, so once the baby is weaned, she can go back to work. I'm considering taking a couple years off and being a stay-at-home-dad. ...maybe I'll part-time it as a consultant for some extra $$
