Honestly I can't believe that there's this much drama about a sub forum.

The new forum has just basically created a hiding place for a bunch of threads I might have been interested in, but will likely not see because I click OT

Really can't take a firm stance, can't vote.
I'd say for folks that take it to the next level, members ought to alert staff that might've missed it, and move it to maybe a forum in between OT & The dump.

All benefits are awarded to posters of a normal subforum, but if lines are crossed it goes to the dump.
If attitudes cross subforums measures are taken accordingly.
This forum would be more general, and could include any topic, e.g. religion and other hotbed topics that bust through the barriers of the world-reknown serenity of the OT.

You can't figure out how to click the "watch forum" button?
I don't think a separate forum is necessary but to call it hidden is a bit much. How can creating a specific place for something and giving it an obvious title make it hidden? It's literally one line down from OT with the same info like last post as all the rest. If we put it into the website info or welcome forum then sure.
On this site, it's sort of irrelevant since I watch forums. I don't peruse forums per seYou can't figure out how to click the "watch forum" button?
But one reason I left a different place was because the forum members are predominantly one side. The threads were toxic, and they clogged up the non mma forum
I recommended that they create a sub forum and they said no, so I left site
So for people who peruse the forums instead of watching them, I think this sub form makes sense.
Personally I prefer to only click one button and see the content. I want to see what Donald trump said today, followed by a transvestite dog gif, followed by a thread full of terrible life advice.
Now I just have to go back and forth seeking it out.
It's bad enough I have to go to the dump to find some quality content.
I anticipate those threads will have a lot less activity than they would get if they remain in off topic, essentially you will have a dedicated few posters in there but the rest of us will be oblivious

the idgaf option doesn't do this poll a lot of good. That means they don't care about political subjects in off topic? Should have been yes or no. Those that care enough wil vote. Those that don't shouldn't.

Off-topic should be clear enough that if you click on it, that was your choice. Political thread title bothers you? Welcome to the internet. Now that you've found it, advice: you don't have to click on it. I know, it is an amazing feature.
