UFC President Dana White said after Saturday’s FS1-televised event at Toyota Center in Houston that Andrade will indeed be next for the Polish titleholder.

“Absolutely (she gets the next title shot),” White said. “When you see the way she fought tonight, just imagine those two squaring off in there and the absolute war that will be. That’s going to be a fun fight.”

Andrade and Hill were awarded $50,000 “Fight of the Night” bonuses for their entertaining three-round battle. After scoring two stoppage wins to start her strawweight stint, Andrade was able to prove she could go the distance at a high pace.

that was a slip. if that was being dropped.. she has the fastest recovery of anyone who's ever fought.
I thought she got dropped too but hill was so gassed at that point she didn't follow up with anything. This made sure that Andrade had time to recover.

Jessica has Power but has a tendancy to run straight forward winging punches to push her op up against the cage and tyr to overwhelm them there. Sat night we saw a a good fighter be able to get away from that clinch and have some success countering her in that position for the first time since Andrede has dropped to 115. The big difference going into this fight is with JJ working at ATT she should be able to learn more lateral movement and use her already very good counters to tag Jessica on the way in. If JJ does end up against the cage we know she has very good TD defense and it's getting better. More importantly JJ's use of elbows and knees in that clinch are deadly and should be able to slice and dice Jessica from there. JJ has very good cardio and we all know she can last five rounds. Jess if in a battle, taking leg kicks and body shots being so muscled and dropping so much weight this could be a big issue. don't forget the challenger has not been in a five round fight yet.

Sould be interesting though. With the power and killer instinct of Andrede there is no question if she catches a clean shot on the Champion Buffer could be saying .... AND NEW!!!!

Thank you for doing the hard work to back up my statement.
Yeah she definitely got dropped..doesn't mean she was really hurt but you're 100% correct imho...That elbow was flush sitting her on her ass...

joanna is way bigger than i thought... that makes me change my pick back to joanna

good share. thanks!
I think Joanna will win with footwork and clean concise striking but if Andrade is able to get in, swarm and land or get her down and ground and pound her who knows? One thing I know for sure, I'll watch the shit out of that fight.

totally. im with u. this is an awesome fight. until her last fight, i thought andrade was on her way to smashing joanna

she looked huge in her first fight at 115. or at least, thats what i vaguely remember

after seeing that thing u shared, i feel like joanna will be able to stuff the takedown

Joanna has been knocked down or rocked with a punch by Gadelha, Letourneau and Karolina.

Andrade may hit harder than any of them. This could be interesting.

It is nice of them to hold the belt for a little while before Michelle comes to pick it up later this year.
