Promotional Posters

I saw the new Rizin poster today and it got me thinking about promotional posters of the past. The UFC has never been good at this but Rizin, Dream and Pride always had awesome promotional material. Sometimes Japan makes no damn sense but the art was always memorable

The UFC needs to hire the poster designers from Rizin and Pride.

Heres a couple of the UFC hack jobs.

Yuck. The best one I've seen is done in the style of the Japanese posters.

Heres a few I found that I do not think were official but are what their posters should look like

Does anyone here like the UFC ones better or can we all agree the UFC is pretty lacklustre when it comes to quality poster work?

The line person created that, went to his or her manager and said do u like this one or this one better, expecting an answer about preferred sizing. And the boss lazily said "yeh that is perfec" and ran with it. Whoops

One of the few good ones and it's for a show in Japan. The UFC and FIGHT NIGHT clash though since they kept the usual metallic colour scheme instead of matching the artwork.

I cannot agree this is good. This is horrible.

The PRIDE one's are absolutely epic. So much better than the cookie cutter UFC ones.

The artwork for Hunt and Nelson is cool as it the rising sun (that should never have had an octagon in the middle) in the background. The multiple clashing fonts used, their choice of location for wording and the horrible cage in the background are choices that never should have been made. But, it is one of the more creative UFC posters so even with that little effort it stands out on the heap of shit that is their promotional art work.

I don't get how they are paying someone to do this when the fans with no experience are able to come up with much better ideas.

I think the UFC should have fan poster contests for a couple of free tickets for every event. They could get a lot of people interested, have better material then they do now, it would be free (other than a few comped tickets) and if a participant is lucky maybe they'll end up getting hired.
