It occurs to me that if WME truly wants to have 2+ title fights on every PPV, they might as well go full retard, and book two belts for every division. This way, they can totally have both the belt that reflects the sport, and the belt they actually want in their WME-brains. But who really wants to pay to see an Interim title fight? I think the main issue with that just comes down to branding, so this is my solution.

No more Interim belts. Every division has both the UFC World Champion and a HOLLYWOOD Champion. The latter is actually above the World Champion, and as such will be in all caps to denote its importance.

So with that in mind, I've booked every upcoming title fight, while trying to keep existing plans in place as much as possible. Not every division had an obvious answer. Sometimes the Hollywood Champion fight looks an awful lot like a #1 contender's fight for the world title, which it is not. But I've done my best to serve WME's wishes here.

Heavyweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: Overeem (c) defends against Cain Velasquez

World Champion: Miocic (c) defends against JDS

Light-Heavyweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: Jon Jones (c) defends against himself (USADA gets winner)

World Champion: Cormier (c) defends against Anthony Johnson

Middleweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: GSP (c) defends against Michael Bisping

World Champion: belt is vacant; Rockhold/Jacare vs. Romero/Mousasi have a mini-tournament for the vacant belt.

Welterweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: Nick Diaz (c) defends against the NSAC in a rematch

World Champion: Woodley defends against Thompson (Maia/Masvidal winner gets winner of that)

Lightweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: Conor McGregor defends against Nate Diaz (Jose Aldo gets next)

World Champion: winner of Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson

Featherweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: Anthony Pettis (c) defends against Urijah Faber in a superfight (the plan is to back up a dumptruck full of money and energy drinks to Faber's house and lure him out of retirement)

World Champion: Jose Aldo (c) defends against Max Holloway (TKZ vs. Edgar for shot at next)

Bantamweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: Urijah Faber (c) defends against Bryan Caraway

World Champion: Gardbrandt (c) defends against Dillashaw

Flyweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: Sergio Pettis (c) defends against Ian McCall (note: this fight cannot be booked with anyone else unless one man retires)

World Champion: winner of Mighty Mouse vs. Joseph Benavidez (Wilson Reis gets next)

Women's Strawweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: winner of Thug Rose vs. Waterson (PVZ gets winner)

World Champion: winner of Jedrzejczyk vs. Andrade

Women's Bantamweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: Ronda Rousey. Just, Ronda Rousey.

World Champion: winner of Nunes vs. Shevchenko

Women's Featherweight

HOLLYWOOD Champion: Ronda Rousey. The UFC's First Simultaneous Two-Division Champion.

World Champion: winner of GDR vs. Cyborg (Megan Anderson gets next)

(note: I'm not trying to insult any fighters here, please believe me, I put some of my favorite fighters in HOLLYWOOD title fights)

You mean like the Champions and the Intercontinental Champions of the WWF?

Bryan Caraway??? Homeboy is basically retired right now due to the depression brought on by being dropped by Miesha.

Also, I'd like to vote that instead of HOLLYWOOD it's actually a sponsored championship. That way WME is able to get even more money out of those titles. Ram Heavyweight Championship. Fiat Flyweights. Wal-Mart Welterweights. Things like that.

I know you're joking but I've mentioned on here before I think having an extra belt in each division makes sense. In the UK BAMMA do it, they have their world champions but also then have Lonsdale champions. No matter what it's better than throwing around pointless interim titles.

they need to make 5 more weight classes too
This would go a long way to stopping so many fighters regularly missing weight and is why there's never really any big weight cutting issues in boxing.

Neither are popular moves for most mma fans but I can see the positive side for both.

I agree that if the UFC wants to do more title fights, the way forward is lobbying the ACs for more weight classes instead of interim titles. That's of course more costly and time consuming though
