For those unfamiliar, I write a series of articles about UFC events and the statistics and data that follow. I find fun, interesting and strange facts about the events, including rare and unusual occurrences and walkout music.

Over the years, I have collected information from every UFC fight that has ever happened and attach the walkout music of the respective fighters whenever available.

This is Cage Captions.

As TMMAC was the launching ground of this project, I have decided to include some TMMAC-only facts and information. I call them TMMAC Deleted Scenes.

TMMAC Deleted Scenes:

No Such Luck
Josh Burkman’s submission loss to Michel Prazeres was his third consecutive loss, and in his last TEN UFC bouts he has only won ONCE, beating KJ Noons by decision.

Change the Station
Two common songs used by fighters picked up losses, with Vitor Belfort using “300 Violin Orchestra” by Jorge Quintero, and Gian Villante using Johnny Cash’s “God’s Gonna Cut You Down.”

Both songs each have 15 losses, tying them for the most in UFC history with Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger”.

If you are truly dumb enough to believe Jones's eyepokes are anything but incidental, just let me know so I can put you on ignore.

He doesn't do it on purpose. I haven't seen that documentary but I assume that either you're misquoting him or misinterpreting him.

He holds out an open hand to gauge distance. Alexander Gustafsson does the exact same thing. When you have a guy holding out an open hand, eye pokes are going to happen.

But they're not intentional, by either of the above-mentioned fighters. Regardless, the new MMA rules (though not adopted everywhere yet) prohibit extending an open hand the way Jones and Gus do.

I'm not misinterpreting, watch the doc. Jones says he knows he'll poke people's eyes, he knows fighters think he's dirty, has been warned not to do it but he does it anyway. That's pretty much the definition of doing it on purpose.

he also raked the heck out of Rua on the ground...was warned 7 times for having fingers on eyes when on ground

Sure this poke on Glover is purely accident....yet he goes back for more and is aiming his fingers for the eye...Get real son

Truth hurts...Jones does whatever he can get away with in there....as dirty a fighter as MMA has seen

LOL tell yourself whatever you want....Nobody misquoted him...he said he does it because he gets away with it
His actions out of the ring should tell you that he operates this way and has no honor or class

Thanks guys.

Wild @Wild - Burkman retired, then changed his mind, but he's definitely done with the UFC for a while. They'll cut him because he has looked almost nothing like his TUF 2 self or the guy that shut the lights out of A-Train and Fitch. 1-8 (1 NC) in his last 10 in the UFC doesn't bode well for him sticking around. I thought he'd get cut after the Ottow fight, but they decided to give him one more try.
