I just don't get the interest in it......
I do not believe a non boxer (or boxer who has never stepped foot in a professional boxing ring/fight) is going to have a chance against even the lowest level of boxer.

Exactly! Dana & Co. would be absolutely STUPID not to milk this.

Ok, so no MMA'er will get a win IF it's under Boxing rules, but they're not meant to - we all know that. Same time a whole heap of fans (think millions) will no doubt have a new found respect for MMA fighters, in turn possibly switching them onto MMA to see those game guys fight under their own ruleset. New fans = more money.

With a stacked crossover card this could be the biggest sporting event not named the Olympics or the World Cup. It'd EASILY be the biggest combat sports event in modern history, easily.

No. Although it was under MMA rules, Nate walloped Conor. Conor won't lay a glove on Floyd.

The thing is is that some MMA'ers do well under BJJ because they already VERY VERY good at Wrestling. MMA'ers are YEARS UPON YEARS behind Boxers with their hands. Floyd will take Conor's left hand away from him and he'll be left clueless in that ring.

I would be interested if they agreed to two fights - 1 boxing, 1 MMA
And if it goes as expected, a tie-breaker with either mixed rules (1st 3 rounds boxing, next 3 rounds kickboxing, last 3 rounds MMA) or just kickboxing.
