^^ that MS paint hulk is actually quite appealing, lol

Does anyone do LIFEDRAWING?? I did tons in animation school, we drew like 10 hours a week at least. Then after graduating I didn't do any at all for 10 years.

I went back for a few sessions about 5 years ago, and haven't been back since.

This is terrible because Lifedrawing is fun as hell and REALLY good to improve drawing skills. I should do more. My wife owns an art school, we've been talkin bout setting up some lifedrawing nights but haven't moved on it yet.

Here are a few from the last session I did:

Those are bad ass Masato. I really should do more real life drawing. I really suck at anatomy, etc....

I loved life drawing! Also still life drawing at College and University the only annoying thing was we only had old ladies or men to draw ha ha. I highly recommend drawing from life I picked up valuable lessons from life drawing. Not just anatomy but to really look at the negative spaces between arms on hips or in between the body and ground. The way the body slopes in opposition from shoulders to hips and just how exaggerated the comics made bodies compared to real life.

Never learn to draw from comics, learn from life and then change it up once you know what you're doing.

Masato I love those picture book pics that Coleman one made me lol. What was that for?

Yeah Lifedrawing is the shit. I was also disappointed that we ad so few hot women as models (though we had a few)... if you run your own class you can choose whoever you want, lol

Also agree NOT to learn your anatomy from comics, lol

The Illustrations with Coleman etc are from a project I made with EOW and Joe Mama.. I wrote the bit & illustrated the pictures, EOW made all the video magic and Joe Mama did the voice. Good team, I think it turned out well, check it out:

I did that last one with a nib. I think I'm going to focus on using that more.

Here is that fishy drawing with the tones removed, if you want to color it.

Another page from my childrens book. traditionally drawn and inked as a comic panel then painted over in photoshop. I'm sure there is a quicker way of doing it but I'm almost done with it now. It took me a week to hand paint a watercolour book its taken me months to do this one lol. Live and learnspaceboy page 20 showcopy.jpg

It's about a little boy who runs away from home because he doesn't want his dinner and learns a lot of valuable lessons along the way (mainly don't run away from home for something stupid). Originally I based it on Dr Suess places you'll go but it kind of evolved. I wasn't going to write my own story but I had a long chat with Jonny Duddle a famous picture book author and the new Harry Potter book cover artist and he persuaded me to give it a go.
