Weak card and you'll have to run to catch it live, but it may be worth it if Marcus get KTFO. Super Fight Series just ended, there was a lot of brawling and limited skills.

This main card is not that great either. my conutrymate Alex Pereira should win the MW Tournament and maybe get close to a title shot in this weak-ass weight class; Co-Main Eventer Yodkhunpon Sitmonchai is like the #248th ranked fighter in Thailand, there is really no logical explanation to why he got the call from Glory instead of the hundreds (literally) of better thai fighters fighting everyday in Thailand.

Title fight is a rubber match, neither fighter is really impressive but I always root against Simon Marcus who got caught showboating last time and lost his belt to Wilnis via 3-knockdown rule.

he just get a ppint taken or just awarning? i thought he said a piint but announcers said just a warning
yes I heard the ref say "one point, Mike", but scorecards were all 30-27. it's imposible for a Glory card to go down without some weird stuff from the referees anyway.

I don't think Marcus did enough to take it.
Wilnis was more effective in the latter rounds.
Close fight though.
I don't know how Wilnis took those body kicks.
His liver is redder than Steve Harvey at a Mrs. America pageant.

I don't like Marcus at all but I think he deserved the win. Wilnis didn't do much the whole fight. thinking about it, with Artem Levin inactive, Marcus really is the best MW in the world IMO.

That was a good fight. That Chinese kid looked good after the jitters wore off.

Wow.
How do you get split 49-46's...
have two guys with unremarkable skillsets exhanging combos forever and nobody can even remember what happened in each round...nothing stands out. it all comes down to the judges' personal taste.

K-1 style kickboxing is not at a very good moment, especially Glory at the higher weight classes. even more because of awful decisions such as having a poser headlining a stacked card (Glory 41). K-1 Japan has been much better putting on legit 8-man tournaments and featuring real remarkable action fighters at their FW and LW divisions. just last weekend we had a guy getting kicked in the nuts, puking in the ring then coming back to score a KO; at Glory is all jab, hook, sloppy straight, clinch, avoid any counters, wait for the ref to break it, and repeat.

Not to mention the constant techno We Will Rock You mix in the background.

To be honest when it's showtime and glory merged i had high hopes, i really thought they would bring back that old K-1 feeling back.
Too bad they didn't or couldn't pay the big names too stay, they had a few good cards here and there but overall it sucked.

Spong and Saki opting to sit on the shelf really fucked Glory or Glory fucked itself by bungling the negotiations who knows.

I moved on from hoping to see these guys come back a long time ago and I have no hopes of seeing "K1 feeling" back ever again - that was great but it was fueled by steroids and Yakuza money.

What really enrages me about Glory is when they straight up lie claiming Yodkhunpon has "beaten some of the best fighters from Thailand" and keep fabricating this story where thais have a hard time transitioning into kickboxing.

Saki did an interview in dutch if i remember right he was talking about they wanted to cut his show money in half and they thought there big name fighters were over paid.

I actually loved the " no testing" period in japan, this usada facade is hurting more than it does good, maybe it i'll be good for long term, but in short term it sucks ass.
