Cinema This makes me unspeakably angry, even more so than normal.

It could be cool. What's the deal?

The books were awesome.

I don't remember seeing any black folk in the lord of the rings movies now you mention it
Probably some of the people from Harad, Khand or Umbar are, maybe even a few Gondorians. Didn't really pay attention to that though. Pretty sure in the books there were some. Not that it matters really.

First book was good. I tapped out after the third.

Should have left it at 1.

Did you read them back to back? I no longer do that after LOTR, The Bourne Trilogy, Len Deighton's Game, Set, Match. By the end of the second going into the third I literally gave zero fucks if they made it through Mordor, if Jason made it out of Russia or whatever the fuck Match was about.

Reading books back to back is not good for my brain. I lose interest and start getting legitmately angry that they havent fucking sorted their issues out already.

Yes. That may be a valid point.

If I like the movie ill check them out for sure

Whats it about?
It's about a white guy basically based on Clint Eastwood in his old Westerns who carries two beautiful .45s with sandalwood grips who never misses a shot and his search for the nexus point of time, space, and size.

Not some jabroni from The Wire.

Viggo should have been cast in the role. Or, they should have just made a hardcore japanimation. But Idris Elba, in this case, blows wallaby dick.

Not too mention that the opening line of the series is the greatest ever (The man in black fled across the desert. The Gunslinger followed) and totally iconic, yet they are starting this steaming pile of shit in New York which doesn't happen until The Drawing of the Three (book 2). It malarkey.
