and yet the price continues to go up. How do you feel about that? I understand they have print costs but they also fill the books with previews and ads so they have that to balance it out. For artists it's great deadline wise two less pages is helpful but also limiting story wise.

Personally I miss 22 pages

I stopped buying anything but tpb's years ago. Fuck not gobbling up the whole story all at once.

Hell i'll be that guy in a bookstore reading them and putting them back too. No one has once challenged me over it either.

I rarely read single issues any more, Moon Knight and Injection be in the exceptions, ... generally read tpb's so I don't notice it

Forgot which tpb, but noticed some issues were like 19 pages, but the next issue they had 25 pages ... don't know if it was just that title that did it or a mistake in the tpb

I read Image almost exclusively. No ads every other page. Great art and stories. Frequent long issues.

Worse is when half of one of those 20 pages is an ad. Ugh.

Having scripted, getting to 20 is easier than 22, but completing a story in only 20 is daunting.

Trades are good for many reasons, particularly when comics get delayed. I often have to go back and reread comics if there is more than a month between issues due to forgetting stuff. There is also the benefit that story lines are a little bit better planned out, rather than dragging on (Clone Saga).

I pretty much stick to trades as well, & I'm behind the game, which is good for me. There are a couple I'm getting by issue right now though (Fight Club II & Boy-1), but for the most part, it's trades & graphic novels for my son & I.
