How does it benefit USADA, aside from allowing them to do their job better?

It benefits the UFC because it is imperative that they market a clean sport, especially in the mainstream.

It benefits the clean fighters, because they don't have to spend their whole training camp working their ass off only to run into a TRT Vitor-esque superhuman. We talk all the time about how some guys completely lost it after USADA. That goes to show what they've done to maintain something that is as close to an even playing field as possible.

I agree with your points but you know anytime USADA calls about positive tests the UFC aren't jumping for joy. They're dreading the fallout since cancelling fights directly affects their bottom line.

If making them look good is tied in with them doing their job correctly, we can't really fault them for that. If they clean up the sport, and they do their job, they should look good. I wasn't aware that was what you were alluding to, but I do agree, though I don't think that's a sign of ill intent.

I'm sure the UFC hates to hear about a guy failing a test, but they knew this would happen beforehand and they obviously decided it was worth it to clean up the sport, so I would still say that this program benefits them.

I worded that wrong, I think it has to do with novinsky wanting to look good. From every place he's worked the words been that he wants to be in the media front and centre and get as much credit as possible.

I want to see the sport clean too but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss freaks like TRTtor Belfort.

Well if any of this has to do with Novitsky just wanting some fame, then yeah that's gross, but it still goes back to the fact that they're paid to catch people who are using PEDs. If they're doing that, and they're doing it within their established guidelines, I don't have an issue.

I can't lie and say that I don't enjoy seeing freaks go at it, but I always think about Bisping's wonky eye. This is a dangerous sport, and unless they're all cheating somebody could get really hurt because a guy was dirty. I know my opinion is the least fun one out there on this, by the way. Haha

I truly couldnt give a fuck less. Less injuries and more exciting fights are a plus.

I'm not a fan of the roids. I have seen too many average fighters and athletes turn into superman overnight and it makes it really unfair to someone who doesn't want to have to worry about what aromatizing agent they have to take so they don't grow a pair of tits...

without re-testing, the guys at the top who are making the big paydays can afford to stay ahead of the testing capabilities.

I have a feeling the fighters would not fight to lower USADA's chances of catching someone. I could be wrong, but it seems like a lot of guys are happy about this. Could just be their own projections of innocence, but if they go after anything with the USADA situation I think it could be the whole "tell them where you are at all times" thing.

I think they'd mostly look to set disciplinary guidelines, appeal and/or arbitration guidelines and sample collection procedures.

This would be terrible for public relations, and frankly I think a lot of fighters would be against it. The ones who aren't currently cheating, at least.

I'm sure all 5 of them would be very vocal and then kinda forgotten about.

I'll never be against collective bargaining. This could be a good idea. I doubt they touch after-the-fact re-testing, though.
