Cinema Bumblebee was always the most overrated Transformer.

It's been raining here this morning, so we made a big breakfast and I've been watching cartoons with my son all morning. He got to watch the old school transformers for the first time today. Totally fascinated now. So right now he's a "robot monster" fighting imaginary bad guys in our house.

The Decepticons are likely the reason I root for the bad guys and anti heroes. The only cool Autobot was Jazz, and later Jetfire, but that was only because they paid a ton of money to get the design from Robotech. Also was a fan of the TRex from the Dinobots, but they were underutilized and all portrayed as stupid.
My favorite transformer toy as a kid was Shockwave, by far. The one who was a radio and had his mini cassette bots like Rumble, Frenzy, and Ravage was the closest second. The Predicons were bad ass too. And also Devastator.

Then Michael Bay got his grubby hands on it. It was similar to Don King getting Tyson from Cus.
It RULED in the 80's. It's dire now, but the cartoon is arguably the GOAT when it comes to cartoons.
