I know I've only been here less than 2 days, so I really have no right to suggest anything, but have we ever thought about putting together a blog system here?
My favorite (for now) topic is "post a pic your current view." Not because of the pics (although some of y'all have some really cool ones), but because of the stories/convos
. A blog system might help prevent the conversations from making the topic into a "chitchat" thread like

I'd love to get to know y'all better before things get really busy again and I can't visit this awesome community as much, and I feel like a blog system would be cool if enough people like it.
I mean no sass by any of what I said, just my humble thoughts!!

My thread isn't technically a blog, just a running thread so I don't have to start individual threads everytime I witness stupidity or ignorance or just want to go on a rant about anything which bugs me. It happens a lot.

Hi @Splinty, sorry to bother you, this is not a huge issue but just a minor annoyance on a regular basis.
Sometimes I'm working on a post or a new thread, and I get an alert I want to check - especially to see if someone else just created the same thread, or something like that.
So once the drop down list of alerts is displayed, to get it to disappear while staying on the page I am working on, I can click anywhere on the page outside of the alert list - EXCEPT in a text box.
So if you click into a text box, the focus is on the text box, but the alert list covering part of the page doesn't go away. You have to click somewhere outside the text box in order to get the alert list to disappear.
This is not the worst, it just takes a little bit of noticeable extra effort on the phone where you might be in a situation where more of the screen is taken up by links and text boxes.

@Splinty When I upload photos taken from my phone, for some reason they get turned 90° to the left.
Any way to fix this, or if not maybe add a tool above the text box that allows us to rotate pictures?
Has to do with your phone and gallery software. Pm me with phone info and we'll talk. Unlikely I can fix this on my end. Maybe ways to prevent though.
